TIMES WHEN I WONDER

Times when I wonder,
Times when I question,
 I wonder and I question
And I doubt
Is there really a God?

And I hear somewhere
Inside the caverns of my soul
Laughter, much laughter.

And then it comes to me
What my doubt is really.
It’s a disguise for
Do you really love me?

You are such a smart God.
Yes?
So what’s with me
That I question and I doubt?
More laughter
Is all I hear.

Are you laughing at me?
“Hardly,” comes the answer.
“I just love you,” comes the answer.
